Ruth Litterini was an award-winning high school English teacher for thirty years. |
|
|
Ruth taught across the spectrum from remedial English for freshmen to AP English |
|
|
Language and AP English Literature. In addition to her English classes, Mrs. “Litt” |
|
|
coached local, district, state and national championship speech and debate teams. She |
|
|
was head of the English department at her high school for many years, and was awarded |
|
|
the “Oscar of Teaching,” the Milken Family Foundation Education Award, in 2001. |
|
|
Mrs. Litterini was also her school’s literacy and learning strategist and left her classroom |
|
|
for three and a half years at the end of her career to become a high school administrator. |
|
|
Currently, Ruth teaches education classes at a state college. |
|
|
