  ABOUT

Ruth Litterini was an award-winning high school English teacher for thirty years.
Ruth taught across the spectrum from remedial English for freshmen to AP English
Language and AP English Literature. In addition to her English classes, Mrs. “Litt”
coached local, district, state and national championship speech and debate teams. She
was head of the English department at her high school for many years, and was awarded
the “Oscar of Teaching,” the Milken Family Foundation Education Award, in 2001.
Mrs. Litterini was also her school’s literacy and learning strategist and left her classroom
for three and a half years at the end of her career to become a high school administrator.
Currently, Ruth teaches education classes at a state college.
